The recent article “EPA Says Proposed SIPs Aren’t Neighborly Enough” by Lisa Whitley Coleman in the EHS Daily Advisor covers proposed disapproval notices for air-quality plans submitted by four states. If the proposed disapprovals are finalized, each state will have 2 years to submit revised acceptable state implementation plans (SIPs) or be placed under a federal implementation plan (FIP) to address the relevant interstate transport requirements.
