Educational Session | The Highest Possible Standard: Fall Protection Compliance According to ANSI Z359

Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT

Speaker: Kevin Kelpe, Director of Education Programs, Diversified Fall Protection (DFP)
John McHugh, Vice President - DFP West, Diversified Fall Protection (DFP)

Keeping workers safe from falls is not simple or clear cut for most employers. There is a federal and state OSHA regulations, specific rules from the US Army Corps of Engineers, and various consensus standards to consider! In many cases, this results in employers doing nothing, overwhelmed by the amount of material that compliance requires them to understand. The results of non-compliance are costly, both financially and in terms of human lives.

In this course, we will break down the most comprehensive fall protection standard in existence: The ASSP/ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Standard. We will review the implications of each sub-section, discuss products that create compliance, and discuss the requirements for fall protection programs and training. While the Z359 is a massive topic, participants will learn enough to demystify compliance according to the highest possible standard.
